Mark began dancing at age five at the Marilyn Baker School of Dance in Doncaster, England, training in tap, modern, ballet, jazz and acro. He accompanied his dance studies with a successful competitive career, which he capped off by winning the All-England Tap Championship at The London Coliseum in 2009.

After graduating high school, Mark enjoyed a professional dance career that spanned 11 years, notably performing on London’s West End and in sold-out arena tours across more than 35 countries. Though he trained and performed professionally in many styles of dance, his passion has always been tap. In 2009, he obtained teaching credentials from the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (B.A.T.D.), and he now has more than 15 years of experience teaching tap classes of all levels.

Mark started his professional career with Celtic Feet Irish Dance and Theatre Company but went on to perform with touring productions such as Excalibur: The Celtic Rock Opera, Gaelforce Dance, Dance Masters, Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance, Michael Flatley’s Feet of Flames, Rhythm of the Dance, Rockin’ Road to Dublin, and ProdiJig: The Revolution. The highlight of Mark’s career as a choreographer came in 2016 when he created a Tap vs. Irish piece for the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona, where he performed alongside Cirque Du Soleil and with opera singer Andrea Bocelli.

When he came home from tour, Mark taught tap full-time at his home studio.
