About
Our Pointe classes are designed for ballet dancers who have demonstrated the strength, technique, alignment, and maturity necessary to safely train en pointe. This specialized class builds upon a strong foundation of ballet technique while developing the strength, control, artistry, and precision required for pointe work.
Students will focus on proper pointe technique through exercises at the barre, center work, and across-the-floor progressions as appropriate for their level. Emphasis is placed on correct alignment, ankle and foot strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, and injury prevention to promote safe and successful training.
Dancers will continue to refine their classical ballet technique while developing confidence, endurance, musicality, and performance quality. As students progress, they will be challenged with increasingly complex exercises and choreography designed to strengthen both their technical abilities and artistic expression.
Placement in Pointe is based on instructor evaluation and director approval. Dancers must be enrolled in the required ballet classes and demonstrate consistent technical proficiency, strength, and readiness before participating in pointe work. This class is intended for serious ballet students committed to advancing their training and artistry in a structured and supportive environment.
