About
Lyrical classes focus on balance, strength, and flexibility. Classes include a warm-up with combinations in the center and across the floor. Students concentrate on the words and emotions of the music to improve the overall performance. Levels 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 include Modern and Contemporary techniques. Students that take Lyrical/Contemporary/Modern classes are required to enroll in a Ballet technique class. Students are leveled according to the number of years of dance they have taken and their demonstrated proficiency.
*Students need the Director’s Approval to take leveled classes. Placement in each level is based on Director and Teacher evaluations of the student.
