The Director and Staff of the Elite Feet Dance Studio, LLC would like to welcome you to the 2026 -2027 dance season under the direction of Gay Lynn Meadows.\u00a0 We have created this set of Policies and Procedures to provide our parents and students with a clear understanding of our mutual commitments and responsibilities to Elite Feet Dance Studio.<\/p>\n
Our dance program serves students from beginning to advanced, starting at age 18 months.\u00a0 Our program offers small class sizes, with no more than 12 students in our preschool class (Dance With Me, I Can Dance, and Watch Me Dance) and no more than 15 students in all other classes.<\/p>\n
We believe our success comes from providing solid training and quality service, along with a strong belief in our organization’s strength.\u00a0 The teaching staff at Elite Feet Dance Studio either possess a college degree in dance or have extensive professional training and experience.\u00a0 High school students serve only as assistant teachers or fill in when a teacher cannot teach due to an emergency or illness.<\/p>\n
Parents are responsible for being aware of all dates, schedule changes, holiday schedules, and recital information.\u00a0 All information will be provided via email, on Elite Feet’s Facebook and Instagram pages, and on our website.\u00a0 Each month, an email will also be sent with the new information needed for that month.<\/p>\n
A one\u2013time non\u2013refundable fee of $25.00 is due with September tuition at the time of registration.\u00a0 This will reserve a place for the student in class.\u00a0 Parents must complete the online registration and medical information forms before starting classes.<\/p>\n
Our tuition is based on a 32-week season that runs from September 14th through June 4th and is divided into nine equal installments (September \u2013 May). The registration fee (for new families) and the first month\u2019s tuition are due at the time of registration to hold your space in class. A Visa or Mastercard must be on file for automatic tuition withdrawal on the 15th of each month. Pay for full tuition (32 weeks) by October 1st and receive a 10% discount. We also offer a 10% discount for active military families. Tuition payments not received by the 1st of the month will incur a $25 late fee.<\/p>\n
A 30-day notice is required to withdraw from class. Withdrawal must be done in person or by e-mail with the Studio Director. Notifying the teacher does not qualify as a withdrawal, and you will be billed until a proper withdrawal notice is provided.<\/p>\n
Students will need to purchase a recital costume for each class they are taking.\u00a0 Below is a cost payment schedule so your cost can be divided into two equal payments.<\/p>\n
We will be ordering costumes before Thanksgiving Break, and your child will not be ordered a costume if we have not received the first deposit. If your child plans not to participate in the Spring recital, the studio needs written notice via email no later than November 1st. There will be no refunds after the costumes are ordered.<\/p>\n
All students are expected to attend their scheduled classes.\u00a0 If you will be absent from class, please let the studio know via email.<\/p>\n
No more than four unexcused classes can be missed during the Fall and Spring sessions.\u00a0 If more than 4 classes are missed during the Spring session, you may not be allowed to participate in the Spring Recital.<\/p>\n
Absences resulting from illness, injury, school programs, or vacation are excused absences but should be made up if possible.\u00a0 Please contact the Director to find out what classes to take for a make\u2013up class. There are no refunds or credits for missed classes.<\/p>\n
An important part of preparing for dance classes is the uniform to be worn and the proper shoes. No student is allowed to wear shorts or jeans in class. All hair that is shoulder-length or longer must be pulled back into a ponytail.\u00a0 For ballet classes, hair must be in a bun. Warm-ups may be worn with teacher permission only. No street shoes are to be worn in the studios.<\/p>\n
*Please note that some classes at Elite Feet Dance Studio will be able to purchase dancewear through links on our website. Check your individual classes on the website to view the links.<\/p>\n
All children 12 and under must be dropped off and picked up inside the studio. We do not allow our students of any age to wait in the parking lot. If you will be late picking up a student, please let the teacher know at the beginning of class. If a parent continues to be late, a $5.00 charge will be added to the bill for every 5 minutes past the scheduled class time. The studio is not responsible for caring for students before or after class.<\/p>\n
Parents can observe their child\u2019s class on the video monitors in our lobby, which are a closed-circuit feed.<\/p>\n
Parents are allowed to sit in the waiting room while their child is taking a class. If a child can be at the studio without a parent, we request that you limit your time in the building, as our lobby is relatively small and we are still trying to limit exposure to all illnesses at the studio.\u00a0 Parents are not allowed in the classroom unless the teacher requests that they come in to watch. There are video monitors for parents to observe the class from the outside.<\/p>\n
A microwave and refrigerator are available for students who take multiple classes. Any drink that is brought into the studio must be in a plastic container \u2013 NO glass bottles. Students are responsible for cleaning up their trash before leaving. NO gum is allowed during class. Snacks are available at the front counter for purchase. The proceeds from the snacks go to the Elite Feet Dance Company.<\/p>\n
Elite Feet Dance Studio follows Frederick County Public Schools snow and bad weather cancellations as follows.<\/p>\n
*If schools are on a 2-hour delay start, there will be no morning classes, and classes after 12 pm will be held as scheduled.
\n*If schools close early, evening classes will be canceled.
\n*If schools are closed for the entire day, classes prior to 3 pm will be canceled, and then a decision regarding evening classes will be made by 2 pm.<\/p>\n
All cancellation notices will be sent out via e-mail, posted on our studio Facebook page, website, and recorded on the studio answering machine. Students may make up classes canceled for snow by attending another class in the same technique. If you plan to make up the class, please contact the front office before class so the teacher is prepared for extra students. If a class misses 3 or more days due to snow, the Studio Director will arrange make-up classes.<\/p>\n
All families will need to log into Studio Director to electronically sign that you have read and understand these policies and procedures of Elite Feet Dance Studio before your child takes classes this fall.\u00a0 We also require that you electronically sign off on the medical release on the Studio Director stating that you have made us aware of any and all medical issues regarding your child.<\/p>\n
