Gabriella Di Giuseppe

Gabriella Di Giuseppe (DMV-based dancer/choreographer/instructor) is a recent graduate of the University of Maryland, where she attended as a Creative and Performing Arts Scholar, receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance focusing in performance and education. In addition to her training at UMD, she has also trained and performed with Culture Shock DC, DyNaMic Dance Troupe, American Dance Festival, as well as Barbara Ingram School for the Arts, 24/7 Dance Studio, B. Funk Dance Company, Bates Dance Festival Winter Intensive and Project C. Studios. Gabriella has recently performed at the Kennedy Center in a piece choreographed by Alvin Mayes, as well as evening-length works choreographed by Orange Grove Dance, LaTefia Bradley, Xing Dance Theater, Mamela Nyamza and Dorje Dance Theatre. While attending American Dance Festival, Gabriella performed at Reynolds Industries Theatre in Durham, NC in a piece choreographed by Leslie Seiters. She was also selected to rehearse and perform with the JUMP Tour faculty in 2012. Gabriella has been awarded with the “Stand Out Contemporary/Jazz Scholarship” from NUVO Dance Convention, Dorothy Madden Dance Scholarship, Meriam Rosen Fund for Excellence in Dance, as well as a handful of other dance scholarships while attending UMD.
Gabriella has been teaching and choreographing for the past seven years. She has recently taught masterclasses held at the Clarice Performing Arts Center. Gabriella is currently teaching hip hop, street jazz, heels, guided-movement, jazz and contemporary classes in the DMV area for a variety of ages. She has also taught classes in the public school setting. Gabriella has taught for two non-profit dance organizations in Hagerstown, MD. In addition to teaching and choreographing for others, Gabriella has created her own solo works performed at the University of Maryland. She looks forward to dancing with you!
