Ballet is the foundation for all dance techniques. Each class is structured with barre, center and across-the-floor technique. For a more detailed information on our Ballet program please take a look at our separate Ballet Brochure. | |||||
| Pointe | |||||
Must be at least 12 years of age. Student must be approved by Director before starting pointe. | |||||
| Variation Classes | |||||
Class focuses on learning choreography from famous ballets such as Swan Lake, Nutcracker, Coppelia, etc. Class is open to all students in Ballet 3/4/5. | |||||
| Tap | |||||
Classes focus on the rhythms, musicality and the different styles of Tap dance. Our Tap curriculum includes Classical, Rhythm, and Broadway styles. | |||||
| Jazz | |||||
Classes focus and build on the many techniques of Jazz dancing. Jazz classes are usually a favorite for the dance student because of it’s fast pace and upbeat music. | |||||
| Lyrical | |||||
Classes focus on balance, strength, and flexibility. Classes include a warmup with combinations the center and across the floor. Students concentrate on the words and emotions of the music to improve their overall performance. Levels 3, 4 and 5 will include Modern technique. |
